The Christian Martial Arts Association founded by Master Instructor Robert Graham was formed from a small class of 85 students of a combined Tae Kwon Do, Karate and V-jitsu class. The vision of a Christian based martial arts association was placed in Mr. Graham's heart in 1981. As in many callings we have to be prepared for our position through years of conditioning, both spiritually and physically. Mr. Graham began his training in martial arts in 1974. He was invited to attend a Kempo ju-jitsu class ran by the late Master Albert Church. He was later introduced in to Tae Kwon Do and then in to hard fist karate. After years of training in martial arts Mr. Graham began helping a friend with his V-jitsu class and taught tae kwon do on the off nights in the same building. The name of the V-jitsu's class was Christian Martial Arts Academy. The class and name was later handed over to Mr. Graham and shortly after became the Christian Martial Arts Association. It was certified and registered through the United States and now it has gained recognition throughout the world. There are ten Board Members who oversee the affairs of CMAA. Their personal relationship with God and their professionalism continues to keep CMAA free from any secular controlling or governing body. We are here to be a service to all Christians worldwide who teach top quality martial arts without going against their personal convictions or relationship with God.
