First please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Robert Graham, I was born in December of 1956. My father was in the Navy, meaning we moved around a lot. I've had the privilege of meeting and sharing the lives of numerous souls and have been witness to many broken hearts and lives without a goal. Never having a true purpose other than living for the moment, I too was one of the many lost souls until I asked the Lord Jesus Christ to come into my life. At that moment of time it seemed all was forgotten and forgiven that I had done in the life I had lived. A brand new door had opened up to me, lit up with a path of light that seemed to shine forever. As I followed this path a beam of light seemed to guide me, lighting each step ahead as I came upon it. During the years I followed this path there were times I would step off of it only to notice the darkness that would start to overcome me. The peace and joy in my life would start to wither away, like a flower without sunshine or rain. Voices would cry out to me to return to the path, getting louder as I would stray farther off. All was gradually restored the closer I would get to returning to the path. I have long lost count of the steps I have taken but as the years go by the path seems to get narrower and brighter with a definite destination. As the end comes into site the voices that used to cry out to me are now cheering me on. The voices are the prayers of the saints behind and ahead of me guiding me on. Together with the voice of the Holy Spirit the prayers become sweet music to my soul, compelling me to look straight ahead and filling me with great desires to make it all the way. At the end I can almost see our Lord standing there with his arms open wide receiving with divine love all those who follow his path and crying for those who refuse. May we all remember what our Lord did for us on Calvary. I am truly one soul that is forever grateful to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Robert Graham e-mail: rgraham@dycon.com ©2003 CMAA |
